Benefits of a 24 Hour Hazwoper Course
Life is unpredictable and all it takes is a small little mistake, and one can lose their life. And this loss is very common among the workers who are actively engaged at hazardous sites. OSHA through HAZWOPER has been assisting these workers by providing OSHA HAZWOPER training to ensure the safety and health of the workers at the workplace and to reduce risk. The courses also aim at enhancing the environment of the workplace to make the workers comfortable.

The 24 hour HAZWOPER course provides safety measures to the employees who work at the hazardous sites. The three main types of HAZWOPER training courses are:
  • 40 hour HAZWOPER training
  • 24 hour HAZWOPER training
  • 8hour annual HAZWOPER refresher training
The 24 hour HAZWOPER course is designed to protect the workers who work in uncontrolled and hazardous environments. Among the three safety training courses, this course meets the requirements for the certification under 29 CFR, Part 1910.120 (e).

Listed below are the benefits of the 24 hour HAZWOPER course:
  • The course provides knowledge about the purpose of OSHA and how it regulates occupational safety.
  • Workers become familiar with explosive materials, chemical or radiological hazards, compounds and mixtures that may be a potential danger.
  • Workers understand how to implement proper procedures while treating workers in the event of hazardous exposure.
  • The course makes the workers aware of the use of site characterization and teaches them to eliminate hazards at a working site.
  • The 24 hour HAZWOPER course teaches the use of Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS) so that the workers can identify and correctly handle hazardous materials.
  • The Site Control Program helps to limit the risk of exposure in hazardous sites.
This training can save the lives of thousands of workers at hazardous sites and can maintain a good working environment.
