Top Three Construction Site Safety Tips

A construction site can prove to be an extremely dangerous and hazardous place to work at. Sadly, many workers and employees have no choice in this matter. But what they do have is the right to protect themselves at all times. Present below is a list of ways in which one can be safe while working on a construction site:
  1. Getting off and on equipment and other heavy machinery: First, check your boots and gloves. Clean the mud off your shoes before climbing, and use only the best "high grip" gloves, for a secure hand hold. Next, use a three-point stance while coming and going. Finally, use only large size foot and hand holds.

  2. Loading/unloading heavy goods and other machinery: Always make sure that you use a spotter for guidance. But, you also need to make sure that the machine itself clears the ramps before turning. Keep people away from the sides of the machine during unloading and loading.

  3. Workers and employees crowding the work area: Workers on the ground must, at all times, stay well away from the machine operating sector or field. Review this extremely important point at every safety meeting. Managers and organizational owners need to enforce this law, not just the operator.
These three simple tips can help you and your colleagues stay safe, secure and healthy. We live in a deadly world, thus we need to arm ourselves at all times.
